We’ve all heard of linen but what makes linen so fabulous that we were so excited to use it for our latest collection?
Appearance and feel
We chose the linen for the Sophie Collection based on its beautiful yet natural shimmer, relaxed look and luxuriously soft to touch, providing ultimate comfort for your dog.
Long-lasting
The linen’s stunning appearance and feel does not compromise its longevity. Linen is known to be one of the world’s strongest materials, being up to 30% stronger than cotton making it very durable so you can be sure the material will stand the test of time. In fact, linen actually gets better with age! It also means that linen can be machined washed (on a gentle cycle) which is great especially for those with mucky pups!
All seasons
You may associate linen with summertime however, it’s actually a fantastic fabric for all seasons. In fact, linen is a highly heat-conductive and breathable fabric which means it will keep your dog warm in the cooler months yet cool in the warmer months.
Anti-bacterial & hypoallergenic
One of linen’s natural properties is its ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria and to add to this, because of it’s natural fibres and production process, it’s also very kind to skin.
Eco-friendly
The process of transforming flax into linen is one that is environmentally friendly and sustainable.
We strive for each of our products to be extra special, that is why we use only the best leathers sourced from Italy, the strongest hardware sourced from an English foundry which specialises in equestrian hardware and the finest leather smiths to bring our fabulous products to life.
We have called this new collection 'The Cheltenham Collection' as each piece reflects Bone & Home as a brand, timeless pieces which ooze elegance and style. After all we have beautiful accessories, so why can't our beloved pups?
The Cheltenham Collar consists of strong Saffiano leather to the front chosen for it durability and soft vegetable tanned leather on the reverse which is soft against your dogs neck. Each piece of our hardware is chosen for strength and finish, with a beautiful glossy shine it is sure to be eye catching. And not forgetting to mention the first thing that our customers notice when they open their Bone & Home collars and leads is the beautiful smell of the leather.
Each colour in our signature collection has been carefully selected; the blush pink is soft and delicate like pretty peonies, the steel is a soft grey which is complimented by the hardware and of course our classic black which is elegant and timeless.

How do I care for my wool dog bed?
We are asked this question a lot! While we recommend brushing and vacuuming in the first instance, many of our customers do successfully wash their Stockwell beds on a wool wash (very low temperature and very low spin) and always line dry.
